Environmental Justice by Design
Environmental justice is not an afterthought. It is the blueprint toward stronger communities. We center the understanding that environmental harm disproportionately impacts Black, brown and other marginalized communities. Every program, partnership, and offering is created to expand access to healthy environments, alleviate harm, and strengthen communities historically excluded from environmental decision-making.

Redefining 'the Environmentalist'
Environmentalist is not a title reserved for scientists and policymakers. It belongs to all of us. At The Urban Studio, we believe that anyone who takes interest in their surroundings, cares for their community, or makes intentional choices about how they live is practicing environmentalism. By redefining environmentalism as something participatory and personal, we help people to see themselves not as outsiders to the movement, but as essential contributors to it.
